Root Help im noobi on deodex DX

Please be easy on me I'm a noobi at droid x language and software so i learning, I just rooted my Droid x but i don't understand the language because i just followed step by step instructions. well anyways i don't know what deodex does but i know you need too so i could change themes on my phone but i don't know what exactly i need to perform this and if you could also help me with the language barrier too. I have a droid 2.2 rooted, i have superuser, bootloader. Please help me.

you have to go to themarkrt and download ROM MANAGER,this will let you get into clockwork recovery mode.Most ROMS come already deodex through themselves so if you want a ROM then you may not need to pre deodex.This 928Droid Themes for the Droid X is a great starting point that deodex your x and you can theme or ROM right over it and you dont have to worry because youwill be deodexed .Just be sure to follow all install instructions prior to doing anything .

if you download the team black hat app from the market you can download a 2.2 (2.3.15) deodexed rom and flash that to get deodexed.

you can flash it from rom manger or bootstrap recovery. as long as you are rooted.

I Went to 928droid Themes for the droid x and their were no instructions on how to install? and also is ROM Manager is it free?

ok you can do this two ways .....TOM108 way is very good ,personally prefer 928 since it deodexes and has a nice theme IMO.sorry about the first link as i saw it did not have proper instructions....Easy Deodex Droid X OTA 2.2 there should be what you need .Now either way you willl have to download ROM MANAGER for clockwork recovery .

Thanks alot it worked, I used ROM Manager becuase it was free and then I Flashed it and backed and then I download 928 and once I installed it and reboot it, my icons were different and i like it, now i have two question please bear with me like i said im all new to this, since i have dowloading place the zip file on my root could i delete it or could i place it some where any folder or creat one for my rom's? and Can i donwload any Rom's for my thems and do the same procedure of placing in root SD card?

Thanks alot it worked, I used ROM Manager becuase it was free and then I Flashed it and backed and then I download 928 and once I installed it and reboot it, my icons were different and i like it, now i have two question please bear with me like i said im all new to this, since i have dowloading place the zip file on my root could i delete it or could i place it some where any folder or creat one for my rom's? and Can i donwload any Rom's for my thems and do the same procedure of placing in root SD card?

ok you can move files by using root explorer or e strongs file manager or astro ....etc.....just be careful where you move them when and if you do ......yes you can create a new folder and just copy and paste your files into that folder.i personally like to use dropbox for all of my themes and roms but thats just me....ok now if i were you i would make a backup of how your x is now ,,that way you always have a clean slate to switch roms and whatnot...ok now you can install roms over 928 you are running now like i said just make a backup so if any problems occur as long as they are not too serious you can restore your backup.Yes you can theme over roms but not all themes can go over all roms ....prior to installing anything i would read up on it and see other peoples experiences with it.make sure you research and follow the instructions to the t!with thaat being said Fabs APEX V1.0 is my personal favorite.....ROM away my friend!

dude, i really am thankful for helping me out and man im having so much fun moding my phone there so much i could do with and now do you know what i could do if i donwload an boot animation for my doid i got this awsome boot icon that i could change Moto logo. oh yeah i just relised that when my screen is locked it says 928Droid BGX 2.3, how do i remove that? well if you want a boot animaition here it is if you are intrested bootanimation.zip
