I am going to pass on the Revue at this time..

I was very excited about getting the Logitech Revue. But in reading all the user reviews on Amazon.com, a few other review and electronic consumer sites, a few electronic pundit comments, and really following the Logitech support forums, I have decided to pass at this time.

The sheer number of issues with stuttering video and audio reported across many cable boxes/DVR platforms - which has been acknowledged by Logitech - and no know fix/patch date.

The lack of some big networks jumping on board to provide content sets a trend that makes me want to take a wait and see approach.

The price is just so steep, but I was willing to consider until I started to consider the above in my research since the units finally started hitting peoples homes.

Anyone else feel me? I am going to sit back and watch this one unfold and maybe consider a V2 model.

I have it and it has done fine for me so far. I don't have it running through my dvr though..its just by itself. Having said that, I'm still debating on taking it back before my 30 days are up. I like watching atdhe.net for my hockey on my plasma though....still up in the air..

I picked up a Revue this weekend along with a new 55" LCD (just can't send me to the store and expect me buy only 1 thing LOL). So far, I am loving it! Haven't had any issues with video playback but right now, I only have my cable box connected (no AV Receiver currently hooked up).

Netflix looks gorgeous! So much better than it did running through my Wii. I wish the netflix app had a little more functionality to browse but it's pretty easy to manage your instant queue by going to netflix.com through GTV.

Anyway, just wanted to share my initial thoughts. I would have tried the Sony HDTV's with GTV integrated but the largest screen size I could find was 46" and it was pretty pricey. So far...I'm pretty happy with my purchase and only wish I had it hooked up earlier in the day on Sunday so I could have watched more football on my new setup :D

I think that is a good choice.

From a geek point of view, I love it. I think it is still rough around the edges, but I'm willing to put up with that. This coming from a guy who got an HDX two years ago and spent the first month trying to get it to work properly.

From a consumer's point of view- it is probably frustrating at best.

Give it a year; the price will come down and it will be a much more solid product.

The stuttering has been fixed with the update. I run from my Dish Network DVR to the Revue to and older Sony AVR and TV. Out of the box the Revue was able to find all of my components (read OLD ASS AVR) and control them. I don't have the stuttering but just got it and applied the update during setup. There is still a slight hitch when swapping PIP but its no worse than I have seen on TVs or the DVR itself for that matter. Have had no troubles with pandora, twitter, netflix or anything else. I am going to start using Picasa exclusively for my online photo storage though since the gallery on the Revue does connect to it.
