Epic 4G vs G2

Which one would be better, from a purely gaming stand point.

I have no 4G or HSPA+ where I live.

Price plan would be about the same.

Only thing about the G2 that bothers me is the no perma root yet.

Epic 4g has a big advantage in the graphics capability. Games are gonna run slightly smoother in most cases on the Epic.

The graphs are kind of misleading because the differences are between 1 or 2 fps for the first two tests while the last test has a 7 fps advantage for the Epic 4G. The Epic 4G is still running Android 2.1, so I'm assuming that Android 2.2 would give it the extra 1-2 frames per second to match the G2 for the first two tests.

IMO, I'd say they are both comparable enough for you to just pick the carrier that you like instead of the phone.

I think the 2.2 update will make this fantastic phone ever better.
