Randy Moss waived by Vikings

Let me come back

Very funny. What a waste of a 3rd pick. Obviously he got chewed out for "giving up" on the pass interference throw that could have been a TD. Then his post press conference sealed the deal.

I don't see him going to NE though. Worst records get top waivers and I believe someone will scoop him up before he reaches teams 6-1 (NE).

As a vikings fan I can't stand Moss (or Childress for that matter). As a football fan I'm torn between Moss' serious talent (when he's happy) and his issues. IDK what to think....MN may be better off without him. If I were the MN owner I would ditch the coach and Farve also! It's seriously time to clean house with that team.

I agree with getting rid of Favre.

If they weren't going to keep Moss for the season, then trading for him was just plain stupid. They gave the Pats a free draft pick. I don't know how many teams will actually want to put up with Moss's bs though, he seems to cause trouble wherever he is.

Does anyone have a link to the press conference from yesterday? I want to see it.

All jokes aside there is no way every team passes on him and he gets back to the Pats. Sounds like Rams or Seahawks will grab him

Moss and Bradford would be a pretty good duo, if Moss is happy there that is.

I personally think that Moss is just a big child who whines when he doesn't get his way or isn't happy. He needs to suck it up, realize he makes more than 99% of the rest of this country (don't even mention the world...) for playing a GAME where all he does is run and catch footballs (yeah, I know it's harder than that, but it's still a pretty good gig compared to the rest of jobs out there). He thinks he's too good to answer media questions? Whine whine whine. He now doesn't like the Vikings or Childress? Whine whine whine. He whined about how he was mistreated in NE, now he's begging to go back.

Moss = bipolar cry baby who makes way too much money.

Just like every player, Moss wants to be on a team that has Superbowl aspirations. Like it or not, the number of Superbowl rings you have is a major player in whether you get into the Football Hall of Fame or not. It's not everything... but it sure helps.

The Vikings this year are a mess, they're going to need a year or two to recover from this whole Favre fiasco and set up a solid player at the QB position that will stick with the team for 5+ years. Not to mention getting a coach in there that has the ability to take the team that far.

I wouldn't be surprised if he turned down offers from the Seahawks or Rams. Neither one is a contender. They're building & getting much better but Moss is getting old and his time for finding a Ring again is getting short. I could see him getting excited about the Chiefs believe it or not. They're the top of their division with a real shot at the playoffs & beyond and he's got the Matt Cassel connection.

I agree with what you are saying. Moss acts this way because he can. He has been enabled by the system. So yes whine and cry and not get your own way but you know what; like TO or whoever else, someone is going to play millions for his potential/what he can deliver. The cycle won't end either until no one believes in his potential/he truly cannot deliver.

I mean look at Allen Iverson. Getting millions to play in Turkey I believe it is. Its not NBA, but its $$$$$ and I bet his first game somehow makes it onto SportsCenter

Actually, Moss would be contractually obligated to play for whoever takes him off waivers. This is what he made the statement about seeing how the waiver process played out. He has no grounds to refuse any team who claims him; if he does he won't get paid; thats whats in his and every NFL contract

Vincent Jackson refused his contract, don't see why Moss would be any less of a diva.

Its going to be interesting to see who is willing to spend the money to make the waiver claim. The guy is one of the most physically talented players in the NFL so I think someone will probably do it.

It's only a spat over 3mil. New England has already paid the bulk of his salary. I suspect St.Louis, Oakland, Tennessee and Seattle are all viable options that would be willing to take on the remainder of his contract. He's still a potent deep threat that will keep defenses honest and create for other players.

Yea its not a ton but its $3mil for 8 games for a guy that doesnt seem to have much interest in playing outside of New England. Randy has a lot of man love for Belichick. Im just glad the eagles dont need receivers and wont go after him.

I agree, the bad thing with Moss is that you never know which guy you're going to get.
