Help Bad Battery Life?

Ok, I love my droid but the battery life kills me! I had it fully charged 100% this morning. I took it off the charger at 8:00am. Troughout the day I sometimes used the web/apps, but mostly texted and made calls. And by 3:00pm, my battery was completely drained! Is there any way to extend battery life. I think the 2.0.1 update might have helped though, because im lately getting more life out of it

what widgets are you running, what apps are you using, what screen brightness are you using? need specifics.

also download Spare parts from the market and look at the battery history/partial wake usage and see whats eating the battery.

Uhm I only have a weather widget, the main apps I use are just random games, idk. And my brightness is a little more than half way up

Weather widgets can eat the battery cause theyh update a lot. Also are you leaving wifi bluetooth and gps on? Turn screen brightness to 25% that will also help a lot since the screen in the number one user of the bettery.
