Are there any good apps to help manage my home screen icons better? I'm loking for something that will allow me to add more to the screen or maybe organize them somehow.

I am non rooted, running Sense UI.

I already have "Folder Organizer" and I'm gonna see if Launcher Pro might offer anything.

Any suggestions?

Multicon is a great app, allowing you to put 2 or 4 icons in the space of one. It's free in the app store. no affiliation.

Love this app... you can further customize from basic... I have the HTC Clock/Weather for local area... 8 app icons... HTC bluetooth and wifi switch widgets and another smaller (horizontal) HTC weather widget following Denver, CO... all on one screen

i'm always willing to praise launcher pro plus.
with it you can manage "rows" and "columns" of the display allowing you to add however many app icons youd like.

it even allows you to create your own and use them!
(which is what i did)

you'll also notice that the top bar is hidden and the placement of the apps isn't on the typical grid.

this is the combination of:
Launcher Pro Plus
Beautiful Widgets
BattStatt
and some custom icons.
:]

you should really consider it.

So that task, gmail, market icons- you actually created within launcher pro? Can you explain how you did that a little. I downloaded launcher pro a while back but wasn't impressed, since then they have sent out updates so I'm thinking about giving it another try. Thanks

sure. task, gmail, market and facebook icons were created by me. you dont use LP to do that though. i used photoshop cs5 to create the icons. i just left the canvas size at 200x200 and the background transparent. put them on my card (though ive read internal memory is preferable) and created shortcuts using those custom icons.

the alignment could be a bit better, but i only roughly set this background the other day. the icons were made to better suit this background:

you should really give lp another chance, it opens up a lot of options in terms of customization.

Question, what size and font did you use? I did the 200x200 canvas and it is showing up pretty tiny on my screen (also, dont hate, I call to check on my mom pretty frequently...she's old...and crazy. I like the ICE and Market icons I made though.
