Help Unlocked HTC Legend North American 3G??

Ok, I bought a new HTC Legend, with the seller saying it worked on ATT 3G. Is there a way to tell if it is unlocked? And is there a way to get the phone to have 3G?? I am on ATT in Texas. I have never owned an HTC phone. I have been an Iphone girl, and this problem is making me miss my Iphone. Please help!!!!!

Ok, first off put in your ATT Sim card and see if you get a little 3G symbol on top, secondly put in another sim card from say T-mobile etc to check if its unlocked.

I honestly don't know a single person with T-mobile. I will try that though when I find somebody. And the 3G symbol doesnot pop up. It has an H at the top with two arrows pointing up and down when i am acessing the internet??? Any ideas?

Oops forgot about that! Yes you are on HSPA which in other words is 3G or even better then 3G, so you are good to go! And about the T-mobile thing, yea I guess you just gotta find someone.
