Rand Paul...

There was a lot of carnage in this years election!

Though I doubt Government will change much in the overall scheme of things, it will definitely change the balance of power in Washington. The Democrats lost control of the House and now cannot simply push through legislation due to their sheer numbers.

Will this election improve legislation passing through Congress? My guess is no! What will it accomplish? My guess is two years of gridlock in Congress and no improvement for the American people. The Republicans will blame the Democrats, the Democrats will blame the Republicans, and the American people, as always, will suffer...

I quite liked his speech last night. Talked about fiscal responsibility, which is my #1 priority.

During the times when he drifts out of his insanity and into his common sensibilities, there is merit in what he'll say for a moment or two.

If Jerry Brown had never fried his brain on drugs he'd probably sound a lot like this fellow.

yep, you just read the repeated the politically correct rhetoric. Tell me, do you have a "fire congress" bumper sticker?

How I see the election is, like you said, it will prevent Dems from pushing through leftist ideals with no problems. Repealing policies like DADT aren't going to be even attempted since dems have to worry about issues that matter. They won't burn political favors on trivial social matters. Same with gay marraige issues. Dems aren't going to even attempt it for 2 more years now. That's a win in my book.

If Rand Paul fillibusters the debt limit increase until the house offers up a bill that balances the budget then I'll become a believer that he is a true libertarian that stands behind his principals.

However I expect him to follow what the Republican leadership has been saying today.. that true reform can't happen while Obama is president so they work on getting rid of him and then they'll work on making the tough choices on spending cuts.

He did make as his chief of staff a long time washington insider who is hugely pro business and anit union.

My guess is that Rand pauls priority will be to roll back the bills that increased regulations of the banks.

My guess and hope is that Rand will be so convinced his way is the right way, most of his fellow senators will have little to do with him and his legislative screwballness. An d when the majority of Kentuckians realize he really doesn't give a damn about them or their problems, he;ll be a one-termer

Some American voters seem to have a real affinity for crackpot candidates like Rand Paul, Michelle Bachmann, Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell. I think I saw a stat on TV that indicated 40% of Delaware voters voted for O'Donnell. You have to ask yourself, what is wrong with those people that they would vote for an obvious ill-informed nutcase like O'Donnell.

I am still trying to figure out from whom are they trying to take the country back from or do they mean back in time to 1776:D

This is exactly the mindset that I speak of that is making America weak. They are dividing themselves. Hell they can't even agree that green cars are the future but that's okay China has that market covered. Walmart will be selling or renting cars shortly.

Yea,and the best thing the dem's could possibly hope for is Palin & Paul to run together(pres/vice) in 2012.Nothing could insure a demo.victory than that.

I like the sound of that the 3P's will make for a nice bumper sticker
and chant Palin/Paul 4 President.
PnP4P

I am sure China loves the sound of that too, not to mention other countries with axes to grind. I can see the flood of $$$ rolling into their election campaign.

I will guess they will say God told them to Run and God said they will win because God wants that and it's up to the people to do God's work.
