This is a new app I created. It is pretty cool that you can speak to your phone to solve simple math problem ,calculate tips and split bills, or calculate discounted price of sales.
Talk to you phone will save your time typing and do the calculation efficiently.

Here are some screens and links.

Download using the QR code, or go to website Voice Command Calculator

and explain why I want to waste memory space adding an app I can get off of any tipcalculator website out there like this

Online Conversion - Tip Calculator

it does everything you say, you can bookmark it for quick reference and it takes up no memory.

mortgage calculator apps
tip calculators
google search bar widget

all apps that just waste space.

Are you being sarcastic or are you just that clueless? The whole point of having a smartphone is PORTABILITY!!!! I think if your at a restaurant, you're not gonna want to pull out a laptop to calculate tip, or maybe ask the waiter to wait while you go home to your computer and pull up the web calculator.

Just because you wouldn't use this app, does not mean there aren't any other people who would find value in an app like this. Your response was pretty damn ridiculous.

To the original poster: This app looks very useful, and voice feature is a plus. Keep on working your craft, and don't let ignorant people try to bring you down.

Although Gritwater's post was far from constructive, I would like to point out that you do have a web browser on your phone; no need for a laptop to browse a web site ;)

Thanks punkstrings for your reply. I have read people criticize about the app. People have different ways of doing things, I don't blame them. I am still very happy that there are a few thousands people are using this app. It cheers me up everyday I see the download numbers growing. This motivates me to make it better n better. I will keep up the good work. Thanks for your support punkstrings. It brighten up my day =)

Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't really think of it, I guess the user experience for me on the mobile browser is that is good mainly for reading articles and some video, did not think of using as my go to for calculator. I think it is better accomplished by an app(opinion), but now the post makes more sense. I took more issue with him calling an app (and other apps mentioned) waste of space just because it was not a good fit for him.

The voice feature definitely cannot be replicated on the mobile browser.

Unless you're eating at a buffet, a 20% tip is reasonable. Why do you need an app to move the decimal one place and double the number?

($20.00=$4.00 tip @20%)

If you are going to leave a $3.86 tip because you want to leave an even $24 or because the calculator says that is exactly 20%, give me a break. Your server will thank you for keeping it simple and giving them a decent tip.

a 20% tip is reasonable.

Reasonable? No, generally 20% is ridiculously overpaid. What a "reasonable" tip is, is determined by the quality of the service(s) provided. 10% if the service was bad, 15% if it was good. Anything you pay exceeding that demonstrates your insecurity. :D

And CXXV is right of course: using your head is a lot simpler, faster, and cheaper than any tip calculation app, and doesn't make you look as stupid.
