Verizon Eris here in Delaware. Have not gotten any emails delivered since 10am this morning. Also, My phone display only shows 2 signal bars and does not say 3g or 1x anymore. very strange. anyone else? thanks. I thought the 3g problem would still show "1x" in display? i do not have the update yet either.

I have seen this on mine. You either need to reboot the phone or turn off wireless networks and then turn it back on.

I am hoping this is fixed with the new OTA update. I just received it this morning so I don't know yet.

Mine is still unstable. I would like to know if others are experiencing the same. I wonder if I should email or call Verizon with feedback?

we have 2 Eris phones here. one is pretty stable. mine is not. mine also seems to get about 2 bars less signal compared to the other one in same location. we do not have the update on either phone yet.

Check the signal strength in settings\about phone\status

Also compare baseband versions in settings\about phone

Sounds like your radio is bad on one of your devices.
