Root Factory resets and root

I was just curious if you did a factory reset would you lose root? And what would happen if you froze bloat with TiBU once you did the reset. Im not planning on doing this but I was just curious what would happen. Thanks!

nothing you do from within the phone itself will cause you to loose root. actually the fascinate is a hard phone to loose root on vs the dx where half the stuff you did you lost root. the fascinate is kinda hard to de-root as well, only adb commands can do it.

factory reset from settings (as long as your not on a voodoo kernel) will just wipe your data essentially. you can restore anything with data through tibu, what you froze won't effect anything.

at this point when testing stuff out with themes and stuff ill factory reset to get back to stock before flashing something, knowing i can restore a nandroid when im done to go back to where i was

I was wondering the same thing, so if i do a factory there is a chance that my 1.2 voodoo lag fix might be compromised. My little brother is obsessed with angry birds so i usually let him play with it, but he tinkers with other settings as well. Thanks nitsuj17

i would not do any type of reset while on a voodoo kernel as its really unpredictable. in fact i havent tried.

if you want to factory data reset while in voodoo....idk saps have you ever tried?

id recommend disable_lagfix, flash a non-voodoo kernel...delete lagfix file in sdcard/voodoo

then factory data reset if you wanted to

Thanks, i am not planning in tinkering with factory reset. I have been running 1.2 LV but i wanna try JT's new Oced 1.2 voodoo, is it still at XDA? thanks. I have tinkering with kernels since i am extremely bored at the hospital and i wanna tried JT's. By the way, during Halloween children from the leukemia center came to visit us and they were all mesmerized by my fascinate, they love angry birds.
