Root Best kernel with Warm RLS3?

I'm using Kings #11 CFS kernel with Myn's Warm 2.2 RLS3.
Kings #11 SUCKS!!!!!!!
Scrolling down a page is worthless. So choppy and unresponsive it's not even funny. Like a simple twitter feed, even after it's already been loaded before. Takes about half a second to realize I'm trying scroll, then it will start flying down the page when I'm slowly moving. Worthless in my opinion.
I'm going to give it another day and see if it fixes itself, then I'm going to flash a new kernel.

So my question is: What are the best kernels in your experiences for Myn's Warm 2.2? Also, try to provide links to the kernel page where we can download.

Thanks!

I'm playing around with the netarchy kernels as I've heard good things:

[GPL][Kernel]netarchy-toastmod, Stable: 4.1.9.1 Beta: 4.2.1 - xda-developers

See if they can beat my favorite kernel for battery life and responsiveness for my phone, Baked Snack kernel #6.

Also, Myn has said good things about ziggy's latest kernel

are you using setCPU with baked snacks 6 or know of anyone using it with ziggy's?. i tried King's 11 and even though it isnt suppsed to have HAVS, it still did not work well for my EVO, with warm 2.2. I got constant restarts and freezes so i reverted back to stock kernel.

I didnt use setcpu with BS #6 as hero recommended not using it. I've tried a couple HAVS kernels, netarchy cfs and bfs and work fine on my phone but I know it depends on the phone as some dont work well with them but I stopped using setcpu altogether as that can cause issues as well.

ok thanks for that gabbott

btw, do you have a link for BS #6 standalone? the only place i found it is when its implemented with BS 1.8 rom.

I've been running netarchy 4.1.9.1 cfs aggressive and I'm loving the battery life I'm getting out of it. I'm really impressed with it.

Maybe 3% drop if I leave it uncharged, and the battery doesn't tank with the screen on when I use it. I've had it go over an hour and a half (sleeping) without dropping a percent in charge while I was at work and what not.

With medium to heavy use, I can at the very least get 8 hours of usage out of it. Thats with google talk on, gmail, texts, always on mobile data, web surfing/XDA app, and 20 minutes or so of Angry Birds every day.
With my usage I could probably go a bit over 11 hours unplugged until it died, I always plug it in before that point though.

Kings #11 was better than the HTC #11 kernel, but not a ton. Performance wise was the same, but the battery life was a tad bit better. The HTC #10 kernel was better than kings #11 for me by a very small margin. By far though, the winner for my phone was netarchy 4.1.9.1.. I can't believe the performance and battery life I get with it.
I'm tempted to try the netarchy 4.2 kernels but I don't want to screw anything up with my phone heh.

Um, how exactly do I do that?

To Brent,

from the sounds of it, your problems with King's # 11 may be do to an installation problem. Might I suggest that you re-flash the kernel of your choice, but before doing so, wipe the cache and dalvik completely. I use Clockwork and employ the "Double-wipe" method.

As for the King's # 11, I'll pass. I want the flexibility of under-clocking as well as over-clocking. For this reason, the stock kernel was tossed immediately.

I'm using the Netarchy 4.1.9. cfs non HAVS combined with conservative profiles in SetCPU. If my battery performance can be improved, I doubt it will be to any noticeable degree. I will give the new Ziggy's kernel a try at some point, but I'm in no hurry.

^ Exactly what I would do. I was having a problem with RLS3 until I was instructed to do the double wipe. Everything works now.

Does anyone have a link to the stock kernel that comes with RLS 3? I think its # 10.

If you flash the new RLS3, that is the stock kernel. Just reflash the rom if you want it back. Yes, it is htc #10.

I have found, for me and my use and my phone, that the stock kernel is working great. I have problems using ziggy kernels (screen streaks, sever lag, everything is shaky - but from what I understand that is due to my hardware). Kinds worked fine when I was on rls2 and bakedsnack6 did too. BUT....the most stable, smooth, predictable and reliable combo I have found is rls3+stock kernel. I lose less than 1%/hour when the screen is off and not being used, I can easily go an entire day on one charge with moderate use (3-4 calls, tons of texts, GMail auto-pushes, clock/weather widget updates every hour, browsing the internet, etc).

As it's been said - every phone and user is different. Plus it takes a few days for the rom and kernel to jive. If and when I've had bad battery drain I have always found it was something other than the kernel or the rom that was the problem (double/ghost widgets, runaway app, sleep/awake time not changing, forgetting to turn off shootme or Pandora, etc).
