Help X10 w/2.1 720p vid rec <24fps

Ok guys, Im not a professional at this or anything but the 720p video recording on the X10 is supposed to be as the same execution as the vivaz right...which means it shoots at 24fps. However I have taken many videos since I updated my X10 to 2.1 in 720p and im when I check the details on them im only getting anywhere around 14-18fps....nothing higher than 18fps yet. Not sure if the sd card has anything to do with this or not but I do have a class 6. Just curious why Im not getting 24fps???

ps..im not complaining about the HD video recording because I truly think it looks awesome...Im just really curious why.

so you couldn't wait lol...

go with class 10

LOL! no I really couldn't man...whenever I went on the XDA forums I was just getting so jealous how everyone was talking about 2.1 but me lol...so thanks to those geniusus (wow, that spelling looks wrong lol) I now have it to.

Anyways, a class 6 card should most definetly be fine for mobile phones 720p....but I was reading the light that the lens picks up sometimes determines the fps....lower lighting conditions drop fps...which all my vids were in somewhat lower light....im gonna try tomorrow afternoon and see what results I get.

Thanks

LOVING!!!! 2.1

LOL! well "genii" would be the correct use....but why not put my spelling smartnesses to the test hahaha

oh, by the way "geniuses"

I had to google it lol

*EDIT* Hmmm...seems I was only off by the "U" and the "E" wooohooo lol

The trouble is when you concentrate toooo hard on a word it ends up still looking wrong even when the spelling is correct:D But yes you were close, my spelling is not so good - you get that wiggly line underneath something and you know you have gone wrong but for the life of my I can't always figure out where. Thank goodness for the genius that invented spellcheck:rolleyes:

Just checked the details on mine from the other night and it's only 14fps...

...but still looks pretty good to me.

Yes it does...I can confirm that the "lighting" does effect the fps on the HD video. I took a quick video about 20 mins ago in my backyard and its still early morning here and I managed to hit 23fps. The video you have posted there is really low lighting so the fps are going to be lower. Yesterday evening when I did a few videos of my daughter inside my house I was recording with just the lights in my house and was only getting 14-18fps but it didn't seem to effect my videos at all. They were still smooth and clear and the sound I find is awesome. Doesn't seem like the lower fps are even lowering the quality of the vid....good job SE! :D
