Apps The emulator is not showing the correct output. Am I doing it right?

I'm new to android so I followed the basic hello world tutorial found here but then after hitting "run", all I see is the emulator that says "android"... Here's a screen shot:

There were no errors so I assumed it's going to work.
Can someone help me?

That is only the first part of the boot process. Let it sit for a while (First boot up of hte session takes quite a while). It will eventually load.

It did load after sometime. Thanks. :)
Is there a way to make it even faster? I've tried using -no-anim commands to remove the boot screen, it became fast. Now my problem is it's response time. When I click on something, it takes a couple of seconds before the command is carried out. Know any tricks?

It should only take that long during the first boot-up of the session.

With that said, oince you start it once, you don't need to close it to restart the debugging process... Just leave it open while you are coding and recompile/install when you need to.
