Taking Too Long To Charge?

I know a lot of people have been experiencing 4-5 hour time periods for charging the phone. If you want to cut that down to 2 hours or possibly less, just follow my fix steps! :D

1. Plug phone in
2. Turn Phone Off
3. Wait 5 seconds
4. Turn Phone On

Voila! But i still do the turning the phone off to get the full charge thing. Hope this helps you all!

This is a bug! Have you tried USING your phone after you do this? You'll notice the battery will drain VERY fast, because it does not actually charge as fast as as it seems.

Next time you try this, after you turn on the phone, unplug it, and watch the battery meter for five minutes, and you'll know I'm right.

I wish this really worked because 20%/hour just isn't cutting it.

I know that an extended battery should not be required to get great performance from your phone, but I bought one and I have to say that it makes a world of difference. I charge my phone while I am sleeping, and during the day I do not have to give a single thought to how much I am using the phone, what I am doing on it, or when my battery will die. Even on very heavy usage days, the lowest my phone usually gets before I am ready to go to bed is around 40% or so.

I charge it with the phone on. When it turns green, I power the phone off. When it turns green again, I power it back on and then remove the charge cord. Been working well for me so far. Looking forward to thenext kernel update that will address this issue.

Yeah, I think this is referred to as "bump charging". It's annoying that we have to turn off the phone in order to completely charge the battery. I really hope they fix this soon.

My phone is fine with my method. Yesterday it lasted me about 17 hours with moderate use and I charged it in 2 hours. It's always been that fast before the froyo update. Just give it a try. And make sure you bump charge as well. Right now im at 65% of high use for a little over 6 hours. It works great for me. *just don't forget to bump charge*

Actually that is off charging. Bump charge is where you unplug and plug back in repeatedly, bumping up the charge a little each time...and possibly over charging your battery. Off charging is not something fixable really, it is a part of lithium ion batteries, and your laptop, etc does this as well....its just not normally noticed due to being a small percentage. You have to be looking for it to usually notice it.
