What case/clip do you use?

I just purchased a Droid yesterday and will have it tommorow (upgrading from a Blackberry 8330) and I carry my phone on my hip. I'd prefer a holster over a clip and was wondering what everyone else uses and how do you like your current one? Thanks in advance and add another one to the android converts!!:)

I purchased the official Verizon leather holster the same time I got the phone (online). It seems well made bit I just don't like a horizontal holster.

I was in the store ordering my dock and saw the snap in holster. It holds the phone with the screen towards you (protected). It seems fine but the top clip to hold the phone can also capture an untucked shirt or coat which is a PIA. It does swivel to horizontal which can occasionally be useful. The worst problem is the loose battery cover will pop off sometimes when I snap it on the holster. (I just did the trick to hopefully make it better.)

I am still looking for the perfect case but I think the slider keyboard will keep that from happening.

I use this (clip/holster, no case) from seidio:
Spring Clip Holster

It's amazingly solid and well-built, holds the phone firmly and releases quickly, and I like that a shell is not required for belt clipping. The clip rotates between vertical and horizontal, and the screen faces in against a velvetized backing. The material is matte and feels slightly rubberized.

They have a clip designed to go with the case they sell, which I have heard nothing but good things about, as well. Highly recommended (from someone who has gone through more than their share of cheap belt clips in many years of ipods.)

I bought this one from ebay, it seems like its the same from Verizon store for $29.99, i like it so far. Looks good, and covers the whole screen (which i really needed). The only problem i ran into with it is with one of the tab next to usb on top piece presses down the buttons when sliding open the keyboard, other then that i been happy with it.

Shell/Holster Combo
$14.95

NEW Motorola Droid Smartphone Shell/Holster Combo - eBay (item 260512985893 end time Dec-25-09 11:05:17 PST)

I had the same problem on the left side. I actually took the guard off around the screen and sanded down the clasp on the bottom left. No more problems. Normally this would be a showstopper, but I really really like the shell/holster combo.

Cheapo "FoneGear" Horizontal velcro closure case.. Looking for better but the prices are outrageous IMO, and I can't buy online(sh*tty credit). I need a case that completely encloses the phone with the things I do..lol.

I saw the official Verizon case at the local outlet..the guy behind the counter said it is magnetic. Is this true? I heard it was velcro(RRIIIPP! - I hate that noise just like my current case:mad:)

We need an app/widget that can disable/enable the magnetic switching of modes..
