Netflix for WP7 but not Android!? WTF!

netflix and/or hulu plus are the apps.that are keeping me from fully switching from iphone to android.

Really? Don't get me wrong I'm not an iPhone hater..I had the original one and a couple in between but I just don't think I could go back simply because of real multi-tasking on the android..but hey, thats why they make 13 million different phones. :D

I agree, but I can see where he's coming from.
If I were an iPhone user, I honestly would not come over to Android until it had a Netflix app (but that's because I'm assuming that I would be ignorant to what I was missing).

On the official FB site, Netflix says they are already working on an app for Android devices.

They didn't say this but I think part of the problem could be there are so many different Android phones running so many different OS's. I would guess when its released it would only support the 2.2 OS or maybe 2.1 and 2.2.

Well most of the new apps I see coming out lately are only supporting 2.1 and 2.2 so maybe Netflix should just go that route and make it easier for themselves. As for hulu My phones rooted and I already have a hack to watch hulu from my phone for free so thats no problem for me.

Honestly the multi-tasking on the Android doesn't really impress me that much. Yes it is better then what is on the iphone, even after being jailbroken, but nothing to write home about. Now the notifications that android uses is way better then the iphone.

Also the quality of apps for the android is awful. People complain about the locked app store, but at least it keeps poorly coded apps out that suck battery life dry on an android. But I really want to like my new MyTouch 4g, with out without netflix (see I got back on topic).

check my sig, there is a hulu app. I use it on my EVO now and so do many others.

I got rid of my EVO, no matter what I tried I could never get more then about 5 hours of battery life. Plus I don't like the CDMA networks.

Didn't look like this works on the MyTouch 4G.

If you could only get 5 hours you either had a bad battery or a bad phone.. plain and simple. Cant speak for where you live but here tmobile is ultimately horrible service wise.. couldnt see myself leaving Sprint for them. Only way id leave Sprint here is if I was going to Verizon.. tmobile and at&t arent even an option.

I dunno, I can probably drain the EVO in 5 hours if I wanted to.

An hour of streaming Pandora over 3G and simultaneously running bluetooth A2DP to my car stereo drains about 22-25% per hour.

Perhaps I too have a bad battery, or bad EVO...

Luckily for me, I stream about 2 hours total while driving, and I don't make many calls. I can go all day on a single charge, but I am not a heavy user. Plus, I usually charge my phone at work, so battery life hasn't been a problem for me yet.

If you take me out of my norm though, then I can see issues. Say...on a weekend when I am not at work...if I am out and about doing this, that, and the other...I can see myself running out of juice early. I have a car charger, but it usually doens't charge more than 10% during a 45 minute car ride.
