so i came across this thread: [THEME][MOD] Typophone 4 lock screen replica (Oct25 added alt. ver.) - xda-developers

absolutely loved the look of the lock screen and immediately went to work trying to get it onto my phone. the issue i ran into was that TypoClock doesn't scale if you have your LCD Density changed. it came out looking like this:

so i got to work modifying XML's for the first time and came out with this. came out so nice that i decided to do a black version too:

it is based on an old version of the app, but i haven't had any problems running it. no memory leaks or anything like that.

UPDATE: i noticed that the original version doesn't look great as is on a Droid X because the standard font our phone uses isn't Arial so i fixed that up for those of you with 240 (stock) LCD density. you can see how it looks in these images:

so.. enjoy! credit goes to the original thread linked above and to whoever he give credit to as well.

Nice mezdup. So how do you load these files? How does one know what density they are running also? I am using Chevy SSX1 ROM right now but have not made any adjustments.

to install the file just download the one you want. put the apk file on your phone using one of three methods:
  1. email it to yourself
  2. put the file in your dropbox folder on your computer and download it from your phone
  3. connect your phone to your pc with a usb cable and copy the file onto the sdcard

once the files on your phone just browse to it and click on it, then install it. if it's your first time installing a 3rd party app, you'll have to enable the loading of 3rd party apps. if this is the case then you'll get a popup that will take you to the place to enable this.

if you never made any changes then your LCD density should be stock/240 (same thing). you have to use an app like LCD Density Changer to change your density from the stock 240 to 200.
