Top 5 Reasons Android is better than the iPhone

After iPhone comes to Verizon, AT&T will be changing all their offices all over the country garbage collecting instead of a cellphone company. With as much bad press as AT&T gets over their crappy service, the iphone is the only thing that's really been keeping it afloat.

That's about to change.

With the addition of the iphone to Verizon, they're about to open a toddlers department for those who wish to switch from a real phone (Android) to the iphone. Either way, AT&T will be laying off people who don't want to work for the sanitation department.

Nice, they used the Inc to show a removable battery!

I currently have a DINC... and I am happy with it. But I own an iPad, Touch and once had a iPhone 3G & 3GS. Not having a removable battery was never a problem. The removable battery "thing" isnt relevant IMO.

Most people I know bump charge their phones when the are low.... Why are they bump charging or buy a bulky extended battery you ask? Ironically its because having a removable battery on a thin phone gives you a wimpy battery. Ask any DINC, EVO owner.

The only "issue" I have with Android vs iPhone is really Market vs iTunes. An app purchased on the same iTunes account can be shared with devices on the same account. Not so with Market. (somebody correct me if I am wrong plz)

As much as I agree with you and have an absolute hatred towards AT&T, we still need them. Having the iPhone on Verizon, I fear, will cause a monopoly in the wireless industry. Verizon, knowing how much superior they are compared to AT&T, will be able to raise prices on their services. This may not be good for us.

Messaging -> Universal Inbox = Win.

But the Gmail emails don't show up there. You have to open a separate app to get those emails. I want one inbox like iOS has and be done with it. I'm sick of having one app for gmail, and one for my yahoo stuff. And you can't forward the free ymail stuff to a Gmail account. Maybe if you're using the pay version but not for free. I've tried K9 and sometimes I get stuff pushed to me immediately and sometimes I'd get it whenever it decided it liked to do it.

Just set up the same exact account for Gmail under your accounts, just like you would add your Yahoo, AoL, live, etc. mail accounts. Then un-sync the default G-Mail one. It should show up through universal now. If not, go into your universal inbox, hit menu, edit universal inbox, then check the new G-Mail account.

Hope I could help. =]

Yep. I noticed that as well. Why not? As we all know, It IS the iphone killer!!!!

I thought the Nexus 1 was THE iphone killer :p

I have 2 batteries and I think ill be getting a spare battery for all my new phones now because it is so convient imo. I don't have to worry about battery life any more or be hooked to my charger

I've had every iphone that has come out and I really didn't think I would ever leave........until the droid x. The droid has much better reception, widgets, larger screen, swype, no itunes!!!!, and unbeatable social network and messaging tools. The iphone 4 has a better screen and that is all. I'm sold on the droid and the x especially.

But the BIG question I have is: is the iPhone sw more stable and less buggy. The more I read here the more I suspect so, and I own neither an Android phone nor an iPhone.

^I agree about the removable battery. I told this story at another forum and iPhone folks dismissed it saying I coulda used a battery pack/charger.

Long story short, our power was out for 1 and 1/2 days. When my battery died....I popped in the spare and kept it moving.

That battery pack/charger they mentioned? It was nice. I may even get one since I have two phones and only one charging cable. (It can charge multiple devices at the same time.)

But, putting in an extended battery...say 2800 to 3500 mAh in my phone....all but eliminates the need for the battery pack/charger.

I also mentioned its like having a flashlight, a spare tire/donut....things you dont need every day but are a live saver when you do need em. I never really got a direct response to that...lol

Sorry.

iPhone is still better.

Have you owned both? I had the iphone 4 since it came out and finally had enough. Waaaaaaaaaaay too many issues. The dropped calls things is for real.A case helps but doesn't solve the problem completely.overall they just don't get good reception. There are two areas the iphone wins in..their screen is phenomenal and their apps are much better for the most part. Other than that the droid x is a superior phone. I forgot to mention mention its a mobile hotspot, can play any music from anywhere and doesn't freeze up near as much.
