I had to share this, seems like a good place.

This weekend was productive for me. I have used a smartphone for years but never fully took advantage of all the little things I could do with them. I finally managed to research and setup the following:

- Outlook Account - Went for years avoiding this, even when clicking on an email link online and Outlook would startup, never bothered to even see what it was about. With the help of my wife, I set up Outlook and a Google Calendar that syncs with her calendar she has been using for years. Now I know what we have scheduled. Thanks to HTC Hero for adding a sweet Calendar widget as well that automatically added all my Google Calendar stuff as soon as I synced calendars. I cant believe how easy this was and how intimidating it was to me before this weekend.

- Twitter - I had an account, but never used it. I setit up fully, and synced it with my FaceBook and Myspace. Trying to get more followers as it seems pointless to send tweets to 2 people. @adamaarts if you dare.

- Pandora - Started with 1 band (Skillet) then added Thornley, I am liking 90 percent of what it comes back with. A really nice change from my aging iTunes playlist. Gonna add this to my Hero real quick, like now.

So there you go. Anything else I "need" to do to be fully up to date????

Well i always had a google email account, but never really used it, instead using my hotmail. Getting my hero changed my mind, its all about gmail now.

With that came g calendar, g reader, g tasks, g wave, g documents. I use pretty much all now and am loving being part of the cloud.

The phone also got me in with twitter, firstly i never posted, and just used it as a news resource, not I'm really into it posting and searching out stuff

Why did you setup outlook??? Just use gmail the way it was supposed to be used!! :p

I tried Google Wave, not really a fan, its a bit more hassle than Google Chat and Gmail.

I only linked my Gmail to Outlook since my wife (being the smart admin assistant that she is) has always used Outlook and knows it inside and out, and I cant get her to switch her calendar to Gmail (she sync'ed it to Gmail but uses it through Outlook, we then sync'ed our Gmail calendars so we see eachothers stuff) A pain, yea, but it works, and at least now when I click email links online I can finally send an email that way.
