Real World Battery Life Feedback

Im still not sure how the battery is. I got the phone late thursday night and so far I need to charge it by the time i get home around 4pm everyday. The thing is I start using with it around 7 am and I text and browse the internet and about an hour talking on the phone between those hours. This is all with wifi and bluetooth off. I am guessing if when I am back at work and use the phone a little lighter it would probably last 24 hours. Need a few more days with it though..

does this phone have the same leatherfeel samsung pouch as the Galaxy?

if so then it probably suffers the same problem where it holds the camera button down on stage 1 keeping the phone awake and using cpu cycles.
if you dont use the case and turn off background data when not you are not using the market you will get 48hrs+ out of it

Thanks for the tip rastaman. I hit settings and went into data sync and turned off background data. There is a list of that includes gmail calendar and contacts but no market. Am i looking at the right thing? And also does this mean my email won't auto fetch with this turned off? Thanks in an advance(Im new to android)
background data is used by market but also it needed by gmail to autosync everything
if you have it on youll get and autosync enabled you will get about 30hrs before it will need to charge as it uses data quite alot

also another think to note, if you move about/travel alot. go into location in the settings and find "use wireless networks" and untick it.
this is for your gps to use cell tracking to speed up your location etc however gps still works without it and the reason this drains battery is every time you move to another cell the device has to track your location and by pulling locations from the cells.this uses power and if you are in a car traveling at speed for more than 30mins with this turned on you will find your battery has drained by 10%

The pouch is actually different. It is more velvety. I assume it has a double purpose, Cover and Screen wiper. Haven't had any probs with the pouch at all.

if its a snug fit its likely to push down the two stage camera button on the side as it protrudes some what

its just a thought as i have not seen how your phones fit into the case

Actually if the screen is locked the Camera Button will not wake up the screen or activate. (Neither will the volume rocker) It's a trade off I guess.

no it doesnt wake up the screen. it does keep phone awake though

its a glitch we found with galaxy. all buttons keep the phone awake in screen off mode but the camera is the one that gets pressed down easy to stage one and is susceptible to pressure when in a snug case

asll im saying is if its in a snug fit case, try it one day without the case and see how much the battery life is improved. none of us could believe it with the galaxy

I don't use a cover on mine and with moderate-heavy use I got about 4-5 hours before it shut itself off a couple days ago. Last night I unplugged it from what should have been a full charge and with minimal use it shut off after 15 hours (a good chunk of that was while I was asleep).
After reading one of the other threads I installed a battery widget and battery graph. The car charger charged it at about 1% every 3 or 4 minutes if I was using it.
I'm trying to get a full charge now to calibrate the widget, but right now it's reporting that a full charge with the gps off is 6h12m.
As much as I want to like this phone, if it drains battery faster than it charges and a full charge gives <8h of use I'm not going to keep it.

One way is to use the T-Mobile My Account program. You can turn off the battery warning from there. I think there's another way from the Samsung settings menu, but I can't find it at the moment.

there is one glitch with the my account app. DONT USE THE BRIGHTNESS on the Tmobile myaccount app. If you do it crashes samsungs brightness menu settings when you try and open it.

other than that the rest of the tmoblie my account app works great :)

I have no issues using 'THE BRIGHTNESS on the Tmobile myaccount app', or in the standard settings ..

This might sound odd but could it be that because of the amount of RAM the Behold II has, which would allow for more programs to be running at the same time, that that's why the battery is wearing down faster?
Nope it's a software issue with ANDROID 1.5 AKA cupcake .,.,....,., also if some of you remember from testing cyanogen's rom , we found that more than one battery meter also drains the battery ,they all poll the battery constantly so they can update the meter .,. the behold has 2 one is android and the other is samsung's , if you use 'anycut' you will find them.,
