columbus,oh.
what i mean is, lets say you lost your phone and you
went out and bought a new one. i know once you turn the phone
on and sign into your google acct. all your contacts are right back
into the phone, but is there like a "cloud" that puts all your widgets
and apps right back onto the phone so it would be just like the set up
you had on the lost phone??
also, i see these chargers for the iphone where you just lay your phone
on the pad and it charges it, is there anything like that for my "mytouch 4g"
where i don't have to plug in the micro usb, i just lay it on a charging mat???
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

That would be a Nandroid backup, which can only be done if rooted. You can also use Titanium Backup to backup individual apps and keep their data.

It's called Power Mat, and I'm not sure if they have one for that phone yet.

AppBrain syncs all your apps with an online account, so if you change phones you can just sign in to that and it'll download all your apps. LauncherPro also allows you to back up your homescreens so all your shortcuts can be easily restored, but you'll have to manually replace widgets.
