Root Problem with unrevoked

I just rooted my phone tonight using UnrEVOked3, easiest thing ever. I have a fairly new evo, bought it 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure about newer versions not working. This is all I did.

Remove HTC Sync from your SD Card
Install the Bootlegger driver
Open Unrevoked and enable USB debugging.
All the rest was an auto-run cakewalk.

It recognizes my phone, the first time it reboots it boots in HBOOT mode, i select HBOOTUSB and it then tells me that it is waiting for reboot, then it attempts to get root, then it says "there is triumph". After that it reboots again but does not boot in recovery mode. It just boots up as normal without loading the rom.

Running Windows 7 Home Premium
Android 2.2 Froyo
Kernel 2.6.32.15
Software number: 3.26.651.6
PRI version 1_77_003
HBOOT drivers are installed
HTC SYNC is uninstalled (kept the driver information)

Any help would be much appreciated. I have tried to find some more information on this but no luck.

If you need any more info let me know and i will post.

Ok everyone here is the tutorial I followed last night that got me ROOT.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsoVzMadiQE&feature=related

Here are the tools I used and the links to them.

First thing was the HBOOT Driver.
public:windows_hboot_driver_install [RootWiki]

You will also need Unrevoked3 available here for EVO.
unrevoked3 recovery reflash tool, v3.21

If you cannot get it to work following the same path I did, then you must have a newer version of the EVO and will have to wait for the to crack it.

Hope this helps.

If it said it was done it should be done... after it completes you will be on a stock rooted rom with all of your data saved. So it will appear exactly the same as prior. Check for the superuser app or download terminal emulator and type su. If you get a # you are rooted, if you get a $ you are unrooted.

I think this is what you were asking.. lol if not let me know.

And i just want to make sure you have seen this thread too http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/194918-rooting-dummies-extras.html
