The best and most solid task killer I've used. The battery life on the HTC Incredible is a know weakness. Advanced Task Killer will definitely get your Droid through the day by auto killing all the apps that keep running in the background. Won't slow your Droid down and the UI is simple and intuitive. ATK has a plethora of options to set how "aggressive" the killer will be so you can choose to which apps you want to keep running. Or stop those annoying app start-ups before they completely drain your precious Droid of its life-blood so you can focus on more important things like playing Metriod on you NES emulator or downloading more goodies from phandriodcom. Whether you choose to have it auto kill or if you prefer to manually kill apps, ATK is an app no Droid can live without.

I find that coupled with Advanced Task Manager it's amazing. Advanced Task Manager is a buck, and seems to clear a bit more than Advanced Task Killer. It also seems a little more robust, you can view processes and see how much memory is being taken and kill them too. I have it set up to only allow the widgets I want through, and have Advanced Task Killer set up to kill anything except music/weather/etc. I hit the Killer Widget if I'm doing something and want to recoup memory from other things, and the Manager Widget just to clear the system.

When i bought the phone i asked about the task killer and they said it messes something up on it, is it working now?

If you use it properly it is not going to mess anything up. There is no need for a task killer on a daily basis though. Do not use it unless there is something bad happening and you want to investigate what is messing your phone up.
