All this talk about what Verizon will and will not get, just a few days ago everyone said Verizon would get the Bravo which was the Passion. Now everyone is saying that this Nexus One is Passion. Everyone is saying that Verizon will not get this and not get that. Verizon is too strong to sit this one out. If Nexus One launches on the 5th...the Bravo will (Verizon version of Passion) willl launch a week later. No proof just speculaton! I will be picking up my Bravo/Passion when it comes out in the middle of January!!!

OK...I'll bite. I agree! Hey, why not? I'm gonna go out on a limb with this guy and say that I think there is a version of the Bravo coming to Verizon in AT LEAST the first quarter of 2010, and while I'm at it, I'm gonna go ahead and say that it will look nothing like the Nexus One. I think it's going to be badass and it's going to look like the rendered picture from the brochure that we've seen. The black one with the optical trackball. It will have Android 2.1 on it and it will have HTC Sense UI on it. And right at the top above the screen...you guessed it, a Verizon logo! There. I've said it. I believe it. That's what I'm banking on. No one bust my bubble please. :)

If this doesn't come true, then I'll just get a Droid or an Eris. End. Of. Story. We need something to have some faith in, and this is what I'm PERSONALLY choosing to have faith in. If it doesn't happen, then what have I lost? Nothing.

Now THAT'S optimism right there! Anyone else with me? I know the guy who started this thread is. Any other takers?

The Associated Press: Google tests new phone to profit from mobile Web

"Verizon Wireless said it isn't upset about Nexus One yet."

"We are still looking at different possibilities with our friend Google," Verizon spokesman Jeffrey Nelson said.

I like different possibilities :D

See? It's all not doom and gloom, is it? We just need to bring a little hope back to this forum.

I'm with ya brother, different possibilities sounds like executive rhetoric for saying something without really saying something. Ya know? Like how politicians and lawyers talk. Sounds VERY vague and it keeps you hanging in there. If they weren't getting anything new, you'd think they'd just tell you THAT. Instead they say "we are still looking at different possibilities?" Sounds like someone's hiding something to me. haha Geez, I'm such a conspiracy theorist, but I love it!

Just so we all know what we're talking about and wishing for, let's go ahead and have a picture on here of the phone we all want.

There. Now we can all drool together and have nice dreams tonight of what we're wishing into existence for the new year!

LOL...Nice attempt. I think I'm going into hibernation until something concrete/official surfaces. The European T-mobile brochure photo of an April release just isn't gonna do it. I still have faith but its turned into more of a carrier battle in these forums than anything. I liked it better when I thought I was getting a new toy next month.

In the end tho (prob by this weekend), I'm thinking I'll get an Eris with a 1 year contact. This will give time to wait for VZW to get their 5h!t together and hopefully have an android version of the HD2 released.

I'd still have 30 days (mid jan) to hear about the Bravo and return the Eris too. Just something ive been thinking. I need a new phone and April is too far away.

Bout time I find some people that think the same way I do. All the threads have been so negative towards big red latley. I havey been saying many of these same things and I have gotten nothing but "where is the proof?". Well the GSM boys got some solid Info, I am with you guys, but I believe our info wont leak until about the first y week in January. PassionC or bust. And if not I am sure big red will have 4.3 inch version a few months after. But that is my guess!

I agree with all when they say they hope the Bravo will come to VZW in january seeing as im elligable for upgrade then. My wife is a tech manager for a VZW and so far she has not seen anything on this phone but she has said people are talking about it there at her store they know nothing more than we do. The nexxus one which is supposed to be unlocked for any wireless company will work but I dont know about yall but I cant afford to spend 5 to 600 dollars on a phone so I guess I will stand back and hope VZW gets the Bravo. I will let u know if I hear anything.

Exactly! There are a lot of people who are pessimists, I've recently discovered. I have, however, also found that there are a few very optimistic and very rational and smart people on this forum who are simply patiently waiting. Whether this phone comes to Verizon or not, it's definitely worth waiting a month or so. As I've said before, even if this phone doesn't come, and I'm confident SOMETHING will, we can still go right over to the Verizon store and pick up a Droid with Android 2.1, at that time, or an Eris with updated Android of some version number and with Sense UI. I'm just not going to get a phone when there is some pretty wild and exciting rumors going around that the REAL Android phone for Verizon is coming down the lines. Meanwhile, this LG Dare is texting and making calls JUST FINE. Can you imagine if an American version of this Bravo comes to Verizon and it looks pretty much JUST like these pictures here in this thread that I've posted? Goodness...it would be the best phone on the market in the U.S. HANDS DOWN! And even if it's just a rumor or even if it's complete B.S., that's still enough to make me wait a freakin' month!

I'm glad we've all found some hope and we're all optimistic. As I said before, even if something new doesn't show up in January or February, there is still a couple of great Android phones down at the Verizon store and they're on the most reliable network available.

I don't want the nexus I want the bravo that was leaked. Android with sense beats stock android any day.
Sense UI is just eye-candy and a battery-drain. If you've used the latest Android stock ROM's you can tell that all of the functionality of Sense and MotoBlur are being implemented into stock Android gradually, anyway. Another problem with Sense, MotoBlur, and the other custom Android ROM's is that you'll always be behind when it comes to the newest OS updates.

Sense still has many advantages over 2.0, one of the biggest being that it has a multi-touch, pinch-to-zoom browser. By the way, in case you haven't noticed, 2.0 is not being instantly pushed to the Google Experience phones either. The Hero and Samsung Moment are both supposed to get updated around the same timeframe, despite the fact that one runs a custom UI and the other doesn't.
