Ok, so I just convinced my boss that we should switch from our costly Ms exchange solution to google apps, as it can do all the same stuff we need and more. We all have Android phones and I have set up my HTC Desire (Android 2.2 sense UI) to sync with my google apps account, no problem.

However my boss have the Motorola Milestone, and his android version just won

He can use IMAP and GMail app and sync all the stuff he wants to sync. That is the exact way you do it.

P.S. Please give the exact error message he is getting.
Thank you for the reply Szadzik

I have enabled IMAP in his settings in his gmail settings (in a browser, not on the phone).

When I (on the phone) chose add account and click google account and type in his e-mail and password it searches for about a min, and then I get this message.

Code:
[B]Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server[/B]
This could be a temporary problem or
your phone may not be provisioned for
data services. If it continues, call
customer care.

Should I add a "Corporate" account? The options I get is Coporate, Facebook or Google.

Edit: Ps. I have just tried going to the google mail application and add the account there, I got the same error message.

There is a fix for this issue but you need to be root and know how to play with the device: just delete the folder
/data/data/com.android.providers.settings and restart (before and after).

After that go to add the GMail account acount and then it should work.

Ok. I got that far :D Many thanks.

Now I get this error msg.

Code:
<b>Sorry...</b>
This account cannot be used on the phone because
it is missing the following application: Google Talk.
Please contact the domain administrator for mydomain.dk (that is me)
or sign in to another account.

Where can I find a guide on how to add Google Talk to a google apps account?
