Root I just Rooted!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just successfully rooted. Wireless tether is working great! I was wondering what else I should do? I know I should do the lag fix but how? What else should be done? Any suggestions please provide instructions on how to complete?:D

congratulations on rooting. :D

imo stay away from any lagfix. even if you know what you are doing (or think you do ) it ll eat you up.

the current kernels that are being produced are good enough that they dont need lagfix really, they are clean and stable.

read over the above sticky from Frisco about clockwork mod etc which is neccessary to run custom kernels/roms/themes :)

What are these voodoo kernals that I am reading about?

Any kernal I can put on phone to help battery life?

id avoid voodoo if i were you...most of us have been there and back. :D

rom manager has jt's kernels some are undervolt which (if your phone can run it) will help battery life.

make sure you have cwr installed and backups made before flashing kernels.

If I go into ti backup and go to batches and back up user apps and system data...that is a backup?

no thats just an app + data backup. full "backups" are called nandroids are made by booting into clockwork recovery and selecting backup and restore and then backup. or you can start it in rom manager (so you can name it something) and then it will automatically boot to cwr and do it.
