Help google voice problems...

Posted this in xda and and got no help so i figured post it here. I downloaded google voice and tried to set up my voicemail, then changed my voicemail number. Whenever i tried to call the number it said the number was invalid...so i deleted google voice but never could get back into my voice mail. Anyone know how i can start getting my voicemail again?

Don't mean to hijack your thread..but this is the exact reason I don't bother with this google voice thing...it's ok for international calls, but what other reason to use it?

The reason I decided to try it was because it can transcribe your voicemail. I guess what I'm really asking is what is the default number you use to check voicemail on at&t?

GV is awesome app for free texting (have to use phone number assigned by google). as its google app, it doesnt battery and has push notification (means will notify even if not running). The best way to configure it is throught your computer on the google voice webpage. Its awesome to transcript, with good accuracy. You dont have to listen and get annoyed that u cant hear everything.

I just wish it support other languages too.

Some things about Google Voice that you may not know:

  • You can set it to ring multiple phones, e.g., work, home, personal cell, work cell...as many as you like. And you can pick up whichever one is the most convenient
  • You get transcriptions of VM
  • The VM is an MPG that you can forward, delete, and/or keep forever.
  • You can block numbers from leaving msgs
  • Free PUSH SMS...You can answer SMS on computer or on phone, whichever you prefer
  • You can personalize VM msgs per caller. Your Mother can hear one msg, your S.O. another, your EX S.O. another (or have GV block them)
  • International calls are CHEAP.
GV is well worth the effort to set up, imho.
