Help Phone not charging (After working fine for 3 weeks)

Hello all,

My first post on here so - Hi

My phone doesn't charge. When I plug it in, the charging light doesn't come on, the phone turns on but turns off due to not enough battery.
I have the charger which plugs into the wall but has a USB port in the back so you can pull it out and easily connect to a PC. Have I screwed up something by constantly swapping it from a PC and plugging it into the wall?

I'm paranoid because I've got the bottom end of the charger stuck into my phone, I then stick it into my USB port - Should I be disconnecting it from my phone before connecting it to power so the phone doesn't screw up somehow?

Ahhh I'm freaking out, I bought this thing outright after waiting 2 months for my pre-order, I'm not ready to part with it just yet

How on earth have you got the plug stuck in your phone lol?

Try ease it out and make sure that all the contacts on the inside female socket (inside your phone port) are all ok, get another USB cable and try that.

Also it doesn't matter which end you stick in first, it's such a low voltage it wont do no harm.

Did your problems begin when you got the plug stuck?
As Sereniity says, check the connections once you've managed to remove the plug, both on the cable & phone.

Oops sorry lol, I didn't mean literally stuck, I mean it's connected to my phone and then I stick it to the power supply. Thought I might have burnt something in the phone out due to the plugging it into the wall while the other end of the charger is connected to my phone.

Actually maybe it's just my phone charger.. time to buy a new one. God I hope it's the charger and not the phone

Anybody had any similar problems? If so, has it been the charger or the phone?

Are you saying it doesn't charge at all or only when plugged into the wall charger?
The latter would suggest the wall charger faulty.

Doesn't charge at all, actually maybe it's just the charger, i'll go to the store and get to try hook it up to a charger and see if it works :s

The charger is the HTC wall charger which came with your phone?

It is, it's the one where you can plug the back of the wall charger out and it has a USB port - Turned out it was the cable.. I replaced it, and it now charges fine.

A bit disappointed that the charger stuffed up within 3 weeks

Also, I was using my HTC Magic in the meantime - I now appreciate my Magic so much more, I've used it since yesterday morning without charging and it's on 90% battery life.. lol.
