we'll see, the buyer i bought from is still on ebay , has 99% feedback however several people have left him neg feedback sighting that it was a fraud....however they havent given it time to be delivered yet....leaving feedback several days after the auction. he insists that he has shipped the items....we'll see, i paid with credit card so i can always do a chargeback if needed

I did that too (paid with credit card - paypal).
Now, check this out... I sent an email to the seller from eBay and he answer me back.
I bought the Zt-180 for $59.00 and I ask him what firmware was installed and he answer some were 1012, some were 1013. He even send me a link to a chinese site to download the new firmware... "like I can read chinese"!!!
Also, like 92slammer said, this seller got a lot of others item on eBay with dates of ending that are far from 45 days (maximum time for us buyers to request an action from eBay). At the end, if it was a scam at least was just $59.00 instead of $200+... I guess I can live with that.

Its a scam. The seller I delt with also told me where to go to get the updates. Nows hes gone from Ebay and Paypal and I am hoping I am not out the cash.

Look at the feeedback now. Got off the phone with Ebay. they are trying to shut them down. You get a $1 item and if you want a refund you have to return that $1 item to China with a tracking number it cost $40-$50 to return for your refund. Contact Ebay and Pay Pal before it too late and ask for a refund. once the seller is gone will be much harder. Most of them left ebay .

Look at the feedback now

Just a update.

Got my $59 back today from Paypal. they determined these were scams are are refunding any money while the seller is still with paypal and they can get the money.

File your claim now while the seller is still around.

The sellers mention have now put there feedback private and removed all there for sale items. Serioulsy get your refund quick before they bolt. they are getting ready to leave.

They also told me 30 days BUT the seller never responded on one claim . They responded on another.

I have 2 claims , one for $59 which the seller did not respond and thats the one they gave me the refund in 3 days. the other was for $39 and that one the seller responded with a tracking number for a chinese delivery service. ofcourse That one is still open. Thats the $1 item I assume.

If they respond to Paypal then it will take the 30 days otherwise it will end quicker. Paypal will wait to see if you get it.

Here is the key .This is very important.

DO NOT REPORT TO PAYPAL OR EBAY THAT YOU RECIEVED THE $1 item. If you do they will request you have to send back the $1 item to get the refund and it cost $40 for delivery to China. (You have to have it tracked as per paypal rules ). Just report you never got it. THROW IT AWAY. Dont be scammed twice. Again DO NOT TELL PAYPAL YOU RECIEVED ANYTHING - The Sellers scam only works if you report that you recieved the wrong item.

Always buy everything over the internet with a credit card or a debit card on the Visa or MasterCard networks as a credit card transaction. This protects you, the card holder, from fraud. Even if your bank account is linked to PayPal, use a credit card for all purchases. Transfers from your bank account don't have the guaranteed fraud protection that a credit card transaction does.

This is because the card holder has the right to dispute (chargeback) any transaction that they didn't authorize, receive the products, or services, to name a few, for up to six months (the chargeback period) and in extreme cases, nine months. If the card holder doesn't get what they pay for and has attempted to resolve it with the merchant, they can go to the bank where the card is issued and file a chargeback. From there the bank will reverse the charges; those funds are taken from the merchant or their processor and credited to the card holder's account within a business day usually. It's on the merchant to prove the card holder got what they paid for in order to get the funds back.

In this case, if you haven't got what you paid for and the seller has gone missing, try and work with PayPal to get your money back. If you paid with a card that has a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Amex logo on it, I wouldn't spend too much time dicking around with PayPal and go to the bank and issue a chargeback. Your bank shouldn't give you any lip or make you jump through a dozen hoops either.

The package came today. Came registered mail meanign a signature was required. I wasnt home. I went to the post office to see. It was a letter ( the size of a christmas card) and there was something tiny in it. I walked out of the post office. I still have the $39 case open. If I sign for it I then admit I got it and have to pay $40 to send it back registered mail to china. Just a tip .. DO NOT SIGN FOR IT. While I am curious what was in the package I wasnt $39 curious.
