Eris has weak vibrate

Anyone figured out a solution to the really weak vibrate on the Eris yet?

There is a program called "Smart Vibrator" that allows you to customize the vibration patter. I played with it a bit and it seems to work. I'm not saying it's going to solve the problem but it might help a bit. But yes, I agree - the vibrate is too weak so I never use it. I always have ring on now, or silence it in meetings. Not the end of the world, but not what I'm used to with my BBerries.

I grabbed this app and it definitely helps the issue. I can make the vibration happen in short or long instances, and set up patterns of multiple vibrations. I set mine to do a series of short and long vibrations that repeats 4 times when a text message comes in, and now I actually feel it.

Thanks for the tip!

This app doesn't actually vibrate what it says it will. It's still not much better than the default. I got SMS PopUp instead, and it's a much better route, and much more customizable.
