Just Received my HTC Desire HD - a little disappointed no video calls?

If you buy Android phones from shops, you have to check the specs carefully, for possibilities that it may be missing something you wanted. (That's what every consumer should do.)

If you buy iPhones from Apple Preschool, then you don't have to check the specs as Mr. Steve Jobs commands that you buy high-end stuff without reasonable prices, no changing service providers policy too (Only in US). :)

I fell for the same mistake myself, as I'm a Skype user, and also am part of the rare breed of person that actually uses Video Calling. I just assumed its one of those things that all modern phones would have (like Wireless, GPS, Memory Card slot, etc...).

Most manufacturers are removing the Front Camera now as it seems Video Calling is one of those features that never picked up, but I'm sure they will reappear soon to copy Apple's Facetime thing, and maybe to account for Skype
