Help Sim Unlock O2 X8?

Hi Guys

Im currently using a LG optimus just upgraded to 2.1

Love the phone but its not as sexy as the x8!!!

Im on Tmobile UK and am looking to get me an x8 - i cant seem to find any unlocked x8s in the normal places - they are all sim locked to O2

Has anyone maged to get one unlocked? via payment or other means and if so where?

Just bought my other half the X8, and I have the LG Optimus myself.

I haven't seen any way to unlock the X8 as of yet, however, given it's relatively new on the market, it can take some time before someone figures it out. Keep checking eBay. That's how I got my LG unlocked at a very reasonable

Could you answer some other questions?
1. Is the screen res as good as the optimus - eg can it run apps from the market like sky+ (which dont run on HTC wildfire or tattoo because of screen res)
2. Can it bluetooth file transfer - a problem for most android phones on 1.6 but not the optimus?
3. Is there an official line on when 2.1 will be available?

I bought one from the O2.
A really nice phone. I love it.

If anyone interested in working unlock solution, I advice the htccode.com.
It is not cheap ($50) but works well. A couple of minutes and my X8 had unlocked.
