Hey everyone! I'm sure there are about 500 threads like this one a day but im going to post it anyways.:D

I just got the Droid 2 today and im still playing around with it, i have downloaded the Advanced Task Killer Free thing and configured it all good.

I guess i just got a few questions, i currently use the swype texting style, and im wondering how i add words to the users dictionary so they will work in swype?

And also how do i set it so everytime i turn my droid on i have to put in some passcode or do some draw lines to dots deal? My friend has it so everytime someone tries to open his phone they need to draw lines in a certain pattern to use the phone. Is that an app or a setting?

If anyone else has tips or tricks that they know i would be very thankful if you shared =] Also post applications that are a must need or just really cool! Thanks!:p

Get rid of the task killer. Android Task Killers Explained: What They Do and Why You Shouldn't Use Them

Go to settings>location & security and enable the unlock pattern there. Be advised, there have been issues with entering incorrect unlock patterns. If you do run into trouble, read this: http://einartysen.se/unlock-android-phone-after-too-many-pattern-attempts/

Welcome to Android Forums, Coldjello.

You mentioned "tips and tricks." There is a sub-forum for the Droid 2 called just that: Droid 2 - Tips and Tricks - Android Forums right above this main Droid 2 section. It's not for questions, just discovered tips to be shared with other 2 users.

You'll also see up there All Things Root, if you decide to root your device, that is the sub-forum to find out how and to interact with other rooted 2 users.

An Accessories sub-forum also exists there, along with a Support and Troubleshooting sub-forum for specific questions about your device and its behavior, etc.

Good luck. Have fun. :)

I have a D2 and love it but the HTC Merge is just like it and seems like it will be very good.. I honestly think you should take your D2 back and get the Merge or atleast I would.
