Bad camcorder quality and frame rate problem?

I have a behold 2 on 1.6 rooted using Donut.BH_MAN_R12 (bought the phone like that) and for some reason the camcorder has horrible quality it looks like its capturing from a VGA camera not a 5.0MP one... What might be the problem? Still pictures look amazing. I see videos on youtube like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ2PfsOboKI and mine are nothing of that quality, mine is way laggyer and has alot of motion blur and low frames. I know its a different phone but same camera, so any help would be great :)

Well my N1 can do 720p at 29 fps thanks to mods out there, but the reason I can't get above 16 fps is my SD card speed. The XDA and others say you need a class 6 speed or higher to get good FPS because the higher the write speed the faster it can write leading to higher FPS. Also, you may check to see if there are any better kernels out there. I know the Behold II was a disaster and largely abandoned.

Also, if its rooted, do you have the original camera program or a custom one? Because Samsung never released all the source code for the Behold II, custom ROMs never really took off because the devs couldn't access certain hardware like the camera. It was shown that the Behold could go to 2.1 but without the source code there was no way to update any hardware elements like camera, wifi, etc. Truly one of the worst phones that could have been great if Samsung had just cared about it.

the camera app is a different one. I looked up my sd card and its a class 2. would there be a noticeable difference between class 6 and class 10. Becuase theres a big price difference.

Its probably behaving entirely normal to be quite honest.

The video is crappier than normal because of the low amount of light in my room so low FPS galore and loads of compression artifacts.

This was also taken by a 5 MP camera, and does take pretty decent pictures in enough light. Megapixels has nothing to do with video quality. If the hardware behind actually capturing the video isn't very good, your not going to get a very good quality video. If it looks a lot like the video I made, then its probably the actual phone itself. The problem with the video you posted, is that its from the Moto Droid, which is a much more powerful phone than the Behold 2 (and my Droid Eris) and can handle capturing higher quality videos.

What class SD card do you have and what phone is that from? That is the same picture im getting. The behold 2 has good specs, so I'm pretty sure it is the SD card I'll probably try it any way I found a cheap class 10 4gb for $14 on newegg
