how to import DHD to india in a cheapest way?
ebay india the price is 42k = 925$
ebay usa the price is 750$ + shipping + coustoms!
is there any other way to buy ! please help!

the phone has nt been officially launched in the USA... it'l b more expensive if u get it from der.. you should try and get it from UK...

there r a few sites which will deliver in India...

handtec.co.uk
clove.co.uk (which is currently not takin orders as der is no stock)
expansys.com

however, anywhere u order u will have to wait a while before u actually get the hadnset with u as the supply from HTC is very low as compared to d demand for the fone...

expansys offers u d fone, a usb cradle for the fone, a car charger and a cover for 465 gbp with delivery.. offer for the freebies come and go for the website.. if u want dem u will hv to keep chkin d website regularly.. else u jus get d fone for 465 gbp..
smtyms expansys also offers a cash discount.. den only d fone wil cost u arnd 450 gbp...
clove is nt takin orders bt myt offer u for arnd 499gbp...

All d above deals would cost u within 35K to 36K INR...

the fone will most probably not be launched in d USA as the HTC Evo which is a cdma equivalent of dis fone is already present der... HTC myt launch a new fone wit diff features for d US customers.. but cannot say when.. i hv been hearin rumours of a fone called HTC merge bein launched der wit Verizon network... bt still cnt say if it is CDMA or GSM.. if its CDMA it will b of no use in India..

even if we order from UK its gonna take a lot of time to get here, we are already end of nov now, and hopefully by dec mid it should be launched officially in india...

i reli dnt think der is any custom duty... u jus pay 465gbp and its delivered 2 ur doorstep...
if u still wanna confirm u can call up expansys on monday when their sales office is open..
as far as i knw.. der is no customs duty....

well der r new developments now.... i have a FEDEX outlet jus close to my office.. asked dem about the customs... dey said der will be customs bt dey cannot say how much...
actually dey say it all depends on the whims and fancies of the customs officials.. smtyms dey charge smtyms dey dnt.. and even wen dey charge.. no amount is fixed..
do not know if there is any procedure to deicde on the customs charge.. bt even if it is der.. it is not transparent to all

i have ordered my DHD in expansys! 448 gbp n getting shipped through DHL.

as far as i knw the EVO wnt wrk out here... d Evo is a bit better bt it is still bulkier mainly cos of d kickstand...

i have myn ordered wit dem since 17th November.. was jus on the fone wit dem and the official said that dey r expectin stock dis thursday which will cover all d orders dey currently have.. dnt knw if i can believe dem bt hope its true...

expansys has 3 modes of payment.. Debit/Credit Card or Netbanking or Company Account...

The Debit/Credit Card did not work for me... all my bank said was due to regulations from RBI.. Indian currency could not be directly converted to any other currency directly.. RBI tracks all conversions of Indian currency...

I was asked to create a temporary Netsafe card using the money i had in my account for the fund transfer.. u can say it is a temporary debit card with the amount of money you put in as credit in it and can b used only for one transaction.. the procedure to create it is different for different banks.. you can find it out from urs.. d netsafe card can b created online so no worries there... but somehow d netsafe card too did not work for me...

finaly i had expansys email me their bank details.. i had to go to my bank's branch which deals in foreign currency and den transferred d money via Netbanking.. i was charged a nominal fee but dat was not too much... n yea do not forget to take the order acknowledgement email from wherever u order as a proof for the bank to know y r u transferrin the funds.. your address and photo id proofs as well.. preferably ur pan card, passport etc..

if you use the netbanking option you will have to go to d bank and transfer money as i said above..

i have no clue watsoever about wat a company account transfer is.. mayb its for companies wit bulk order or smthn.. i reli dnt knw...
