not exactly. i have a .22 cal pellet gun that shoots 1200 fps. that breakes the sound barrior. you can hunt small game with it easy.
also do a search on big bore air rifle on youtube.

My first air rifle (12 years old) was a Benjamin 5mm. It fired a solid pellet w/pointed tip. Perfect bird and squirrel gun; very accurate. I loved that gun. Fired it thousands of times... Good memories...
