BootAnimation Flash

Andygu3, very cool tip and link. I followed the directions, only had a little trouble but I got it running on my phone and it's a very cool addition to the phone. Months ago when I first moved away from the stock 1.5 rom I so missed that boot up animation. That was very creative in my mind and I hated the Sprint Now boot up animation. But now thanks to you guys a very cool Star Wars boot up animation that works very well.................

Thank you so much.......... :)

Here for those that want to give it a shot, here is the file and instruction C&P below Thanks goes to the original poster ASimmons as some of you may not be a member @ XDA, report back for those of you that have tried it.

C&P

This is a flashable zip so just copy it to your sd card and flash it through recovery. If it doesnt work that way go in and manually delete the /system/media/bootanimation.zip file first and the flash this file.

D/L here cm6 version r2d2 boot animation cm6 flashable zip

D/L here 2.1 Sense version (with sound) r2d2 boot 2.1 animation flashable zip

I don't believe you need to be a member of xda to download that file, but thanks anyways

I tried downloading it the other day and was not able to download unless I signed in weird

Not sure what's going on then. I'm not signed and when click the link posted above, it goes to xda, click on the zip link, it goes to 4shared and then I can download from there. :)

One thing you can't do unless you are signed in to xda, is respond to the thread

My bad, I did not realize it was going to a 4 shared link, I meant you cannot download stuff if it was uploaded on the XDA site unless you are signed in or a member, I don't know why I thought it was a file uploaded there as I C&P, LOL
