Root Quadrant / Overclocking question

1500 is just a score, nothing to do with mhZ. It will push the CPU amongst other things to max however it depends what governor / scaling is used. If you set set CPU to performance you'll get higher than ondemand.

he should have it set to smart ass and run it 3 times to find average.

hes lucky to be able to run it at ful 1190. most devices hang

Aaaaah, ok. Makes sense.

Rastaman: Yup, set max to 1190 and min to 128, with Smartass scaling and "set on Boot" checked. Seems to work just fine. I've also set Powersave to kick in when the battery is at 20% (576 max / 128 min) although whether or not this will actually help me save battery life when it gets down there is another question. Just run (another) benchmark and I'm now getting 1261 althopugh first thing this morning I was up in the mid-1400s.

'Appy days!

I also set mine to 245mhz max & min when screen off to save battery when not using it.

Just changed back from DeFroST to LeeDroID as was missing the notification lights and a few other little bits. Loved DF and have found there are things I like and dislike on each ROM but for now back with the world of Sense :D

Nice idea. Does it tend to make a significant different? Any performance issues when waking the phone / turning the screen on?

Erm I suppose it does but I am not someone to worry about battery too much. I charge mine every night and have a 2 hour commute to work which normally means its down to 50% by the time I get to work. I have Bluetooth Headphones with music on constantly and browse, email, sms etc for the whole journey.

I was previously trying DeFroST's ROM and the doing the same things left me with 70%+ battery so it was a truly great ROM. There were a few things I did not like, no Bluetooth FTP built in, notification lights were a bit random etc. All small things but thats the beauty of being rooted you can chop and change whenever you want :D
