No update yet? End of year it's coming? I heard the 2.2 could be coming in 2011 anywhere from jan to may. Gingerbread will be out by then why would we want 2.2 if 2.3 is out?

Samsung better get things in order because they are slipping up big time. Who else has echo on their phone when they talk and wifi that barely works along with crappy gps..

samsung is always notioriously bad with updates and verizon only compounds that issue..most of us knew that jumping in though and felt the phone was worth it...bad support or not :)

and gps is completely fixed in the upcoming DJ05 mr ota

I hear your pain and frustration, been there when i had my HTC Incredible (which i think was handled faster than Samsung). Fortunately after I manually updated my phone to DJ05, most of the issues have been fixed. Granted I would still like Froyo, but for now the phone runs great!

its no coincidence how much MUCH more willing I am to assist someone who shows the slightest bit of courtesy vs the demanding, entitled person.

The following is a true story which occurred late last night:
I'll give the short versions - someone PM's me, first line of message = hey saps looks like you really know this stuff, Im kinda lost and looking for some help this guy was humble and polite. He basically wanted to try the voodoo 5 and by the looks of our PM chat log we traded conversation back and forth for 32 minutes. I stayed with this guy thru all the downloads and what to do in cwm and everything. This guy said please and thank you a lot and was a pleasant fellow in general. I'd probably have helped him just the same without all his courtesy but its nice to help someone who appreciates it and shows some gratitude.
3 minutes later I heard the chirp and see I have a new PM. this first line read = yo homey hook me upz with the voodoos
I didnt respond:rolleyes:

After reading through this I kinda got to thinking that I have gotten so wraped up into rooting, themeing, borking and restoring etc etc that I probably fell into the category or not being very humble or polite.

So I would like to offer my apologies to all or anyone I may have offended or peev'ed off.
