Hi,

Recently while flashing the 23112010 nightly I noticed that I could not end voice call. The screen would stay at 'hanging' and remain there.
In the notification the active call was visible.

The call end button didnt work. Also the call end menu did not work.

Flashed the nightly many times. Had the same problem.
Flashed XEJC6...even it seems to have the same problem.
The screen stayed on 'dialing' even after I ended the call from the other handset.

The notification shows that the current call is in progress even after the call was ended using the other handset.

Wen I call using the other handset, there is no incoming call on Galaxy but on other handset the outgoing call is automatically answered with absolutely no voice ( Obviously :) )

Any ideas....Dunno what happened all of a sudden.

Well that's weird.

When on your phone's homescreen, what happens if you hold the end call button? Does the usual menu come up? Also what happens when you press the call button? The call history comes up?

When I press the menu button the menu comes up
When I press the call key the call logs comes up.
Nothing happens when I press the call end button when in a call

I have flashed almost 3-4 firmwares but to no avail.
I am facing similar issues on my previous restored nandroid backups

Im absolutely clueless.
What say ??
Anything strikes you?

To be honest I'm also clueless. I thought maybe one of your keys was stuck, but their behavior seems to be just fine so it's probably not that.

If flashing/restoring didn't solve it, it's probably a hardware issue. Anyone else?

@ Da, r3dpuma,Lelouch

Had taken the set to Samsung guys.
They flashed the shit Cupcake 1.5 India version and what; a version later than what the phone was originally shipped with.

I could not test the phone at the service center as it was situated in the basement. But when I got the phone home the problem was there.

I could still not make call...calls ended as soon I pressed call button,
I could not end calls and I could not receive calls on my phone.

WTF !!!

Will take it to them again in some days as I have a Bank Exam coming up soon. AFAIK I dont think the motherboard would be available...I think the set has been stopped by Samsung...and I dont think they would give me new phone. So again I think I would get a refund from Samsung in form of a cheque. ( 1st time I got refunded when I had bought Samsung Spica 5700)

So.....Fingure's Crossed !!!!

Nexus S probably is your main target this time. :p

Pity dude...its not such a case here in India...The consumer is always almost on the receiving end of things...Let see how things move on from here.
I hope by the time I get my Galaxy back (IF) Froyo's up n running on steroids. Uhhh missing my Galaxy...Just got a Nokia N 85 in the meantime and I feel its not bad.....too:p

ah, my sympathies at OP. am shocked that they even took your case, as I know, living in India myself, once you start tweaking around with the OSes, these customer care buggers are reluctant to even touch the phone. Obviously we know that we have tampered around with the warranty, why are they making such a fuss?

They would only know if you want them to know dude. I have an India specific firmware which I pushed before handing over the phone to them.
So you see...Things work :)

Lol, i`m amazed too, i thought symbian is dying, actually it is, but not the devs.
I was a symbian user for 7 years, Eseries mostly, never tried a custom rom.

5800 has as many developers as the number itself :D
Now someone is trying to port N8 Symbian ^3 to 5800. Oh thats great actually. He has successfully ported Nokia's C6 interface to 5800.

Im loving it..At the center of both worlds :D
Yes dude E series was phenomenal
