Hi all.

I regularly charge my phone overnight and always have every possible sych set to manual so I only update exactly whe I want to. However, when I wake up I find that the wifi has swithched itself on. I am thinking that I have an update turned on somewhere but cannot think which one it might be.

Is this auto turn on wifi enabled from some other kind of process?

Also, as you might have tried this, what is the concensus of the following method of charging the battery:

Hi,

Don't have juicedefender/ultimatejuice installed.

Although Tasker looks good, I wonder if it effects battery usage as at a guess it would have to be operating in the background waiting for certain triggers. I'm on a mission at the mo to get at least a days worth of medium usage out of desire. Possibly worth trying out though, feck it, I'll give it a go.

Cheers. :9)

Is there no way to simply turn off WiFi by default? I am about to get a Desire and this is kind of important.

There is, all you need to do is click on the HTC widget, or go to the settings section.
@OP check your apps to see if any have access to Wifi enabled services, if they do, then uninstall them.
Also, the 'Network Notification' should also be unchecked. :)

Thank you! How do I "Thank" you, where is the button or link?

EDIT: Never mind... I need to look right and left before posting!!!
