Help Making the notifications louder/different?

I hope this hasn't been asked a thousand times.. BUT, I'm so frustrated with how low the notification is for text messages. I was able to change it for the voicemail notification (under notification sounds) but it doesn't seem to have any affect on the text one.. it only changed the voicemail one.

Anyone know? Can help?

Thanks in advance!! :D

Download an app called "Quick Settings". Once you have quick settings, there is a menu for Volume Control which lets you set volume levels for:

Ringer Volume
Notification Volume
Media Volume
Alarm Volume
Voice Call Volume
System Volume

Here is the QR code for the app. If you have Barcode Scanner on your phone, scan this:

It seems so simple once I was shown, but I could not figure it out for myself no matter how much I tried. Easy peasy for the voicemail and email stuff, but not text!

You have to go to your "messaging" page, THEN hit the "menu" button, then select the "settings" option and if you scroll down you'll see "select ringtone" option and I was able to change it there.

Victory was mine!!!! :D
