Root Is there a way to monitor battery consumption by each app?

Basically i went from getting 15+ hours of battery life to getting 4 hours today and maybe 7 yesterday. This is 2 days in a row. Running baked snack 1.9 with not too many apps.. I had gone a few weeks being amazed by battery life. I don't think I've added any apps that would cause this.

Any input is appreciated.

Is this what you are looking for ?

Also, I actually moved away from Baked Snack 1.9 due to increased battery drain coming from 1.7. Now I'm using Frost 3.1 and getting through a whole day (moderate usage) with ~50% remaining afterward.

I was looking for something a bit less vague. I was getting decent battery life w/ baked snack before so I'm just trying to pinpoint the app if possible. I am a fairly heavy user so I cannot expect 15 hours but 3 hours is unacceptable. I got over 24 hours 5 days ago so it is like night and day differences here. I've started to systematically freeze apps to see if I can figure it out but that is going to take a while.

Use spare parts to see what has been running and, more than likely, what has been holding wake locks. To see in real time what could be causing a problem, use OS Monitor.

The main thing you'll want to check is partial wake usage. What you'll want to do is plug the phone in for a minute, unplug it, let the phone sit (without turning it off) for about an hour or two, then check partial wake usage since last unplugged. That may or may not be useful depending on whether or not that was the issue and whether or not something is still holding a wake lock. Have you rebooted your phone since this happened?

yes...run a full day's test.

other items of interest

menu.settings.about phone.battery.battery use

click on cell standby what is your time without signal? more than 0-5%? update prl and profile and look into possible causes of signal loss

press back press android system scroll down and look at included packages...anything seem odd?

feel free to post screen shots.

many people use system panel and juice plotter to track battery usage. I have yet to need either of those

This is not quite right. From what I can tell when the app uses the GPU it does not register as battery usage by the app (angry birds, and most other games, use about 20-30% per hr but show as maybe 1% battery usage)
