is it worth it to buy an ipod touch if i have an incredible?

haven't used my ipod touch nearly as much since i got the dinc. i used to have it set up in the car, but my fm transmitter for the incredible should be here this week. I use it occasionally for my stereo that I have across the room from my desk - don't want to hook my phone up over there because then if i get texts or anything I have to go walk over and answer it.

edit: also still use the touch for angry birds, because when I got my incredible swapped out, I started playing on the touch again. Didn't feel like leveling all the way back up on the inc, and killing my battery in the process.

End of story: I'd say save your money.

Yes, I would say it's worth having two devices. I use my iPod for apps that aren't (yet) available or up to par for Android (Pocket Informant, for example). I also don't use my Android for listening to music; iPod gets that task.

So while it's a hassle to carry two devices, the two are good enough at separate things to warrant carrying both most of the time.

I still use my touch but not as much. I use it as an alarm clock because I paid for an app on it before I got my phone and because I have a dock. I also use it to play music at work (preschool) because there is no way I am having that music on my phone lol.

I use it in the car mainly because for some reason my phone won't work with the usb jack anymore since Froyo I guess. I also use it when my phone is charging because I don't really care if the battery gets low on my touch. Which tends to make me lean towards browsing the web on it more often than my phone too.

So it is useful, but I also bought it before android was available to all. I don't know if I would buy it now, or just get some other music player.

I don't use my inc exclusively for music mainly because of battery life.
This^
I personally get screwed up trying to use the touch. i keep going for the back key and the home key where they are on the Incredible.
and this^.:D

As a media player the ipod is still one of the best. And as said before, there are much better games for iOS than there are games for Android. And the battery life for my ipod is much longer than is the battery life for my phone so thats a big advantage. I still don't use my touch as much since I got my phone but whenever I want to listen to music I will pull it out and use it. But I still can't help myself from drooling over the new touches that came out.

Psh I don't think they're that good personally. I'll end up with one when I get a new Macbook with my student discount. tehy always give em away for students in spring/early summer. should be right after the macbook pro's get an update.

actually if I can time it right, I want to grab a Macbook pro during the free ipod touch sale after the MBP hardware's been updated and when Lion is preinstalled. wish me luck haha

i use both, the incredible's music player just doesn't cut it for me. Pretty slow/buggy and isn't very user friendly... i can't beleive there is literally no "settings" menu. I also use iTunes, so syncing is much easier for me with the ipod. It all comes down to personal preference, whichever option fits you best!

Anyone know of a good music app for playing downloaded podcasts? I have already downloaded the podcasts as a large file and just want a player that will pause and remember where I am in the 3 hour show. I have used stock player and mixzing but when they close it reverts back to the beginning of the file. Thanks

Try dogcatcher. I'm not sure if it will meet the needs of capturing your currently downloaded podcast, but it does find all podcast, download them, pause and resume. Its a really nice app. Only catch its 7 bucks

If you want unlimited music go with the Zune... or Zune 2 hoepfully soon. I don't use my inc exclusively for music mainly because of battery life.

I agree with this. I love my Ipod touch and won't get rid of it because if I am going to listen to music or watch video, I will do it on the Ipod. My phone is saved for everything else. Plus, I love the way my Ipod touch interfaces with my Sync system in my car. :)
