Help Video quality concerns...

I came from the Samsung Fascinate and so far overall I like the X better...the screen does not even compare to the Fascinate, but other than that I have been happy with my swap. But today, I took some videos of my 3 month old with the X, put them on the laptop, and compared them to the one I took with the Fascinate...they both record in 720p, and the only difference I know of is the X's 24fps vs 30fps for the Fascinate...but the quality of the Fascinate video is WAY better than the ones taken with my X. Same conditions for both, inside with moderate lighting....any thoughts or ideas as to how to increase the quality by changing some settings or something?

6fps really makes no difference to be quite honest. a lot of the problem is likely your light settings...and if you don't have enough back light no cell phone camera will take good video. Try adjusting the lighting in the room and then play with the camera settings, the fascinate may have had default settings tweaked for maximizes indoor video and the droidx may not. I have taken a lot of pics/video with cell phones over the years and nothing helps more then natural light

thanks, but i compared the videos taken in the same place with the same lighting so it is actually a fair comparison....oh well, still takes decent video I guess.

Right now, there will be zero improvement you can do based on settings that will help the quality of the X. The issue is the quality of the sensors used. Samsung makes digital cameras. They have used their technology in the cameras in the galaxy series phones. It's the quality of the sensor that matters and why the fascinate is superior to my Incredible, Desire, Droid 2, Droid X, Blackberry and every other phone I have ever owned.
