Im sure these questions may have been answered here somewhere but I'm tired of reading through 100's of pages...so I'll just post them here.

1 - I have POP3 mails + hotmail + gmail + yahoo mails. In my iPhone, there is just one MAIL icon and within my mail manager, I can add ALL of my mail accounts - as many as I have. Then on the home page, the MAIL icon will have a badge that comes up whenever a new email comes into any of the accounts I created. When I click on the MAIL icon, the entire list of my accounts will show up with corresponding # of emails written next to each account... for ex:

abcd@yahoo.com -------2
errty@hotmail.com ------1
rrtty#gmail.com ---------1
xya@pop3.com----------2

Then all I have to do is click on each line to read the new mails. On Evo, as far as I can tell, I have to install MAIL (for POP3), Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail Apps.....then click through each icons to check the mails for each types of accounts. Is this correct or is there a way to consolidate every mail accounts under one MAIL icon and check everything as I described above?

2 - Is there a way to manually download/synchronize all the email accounts with just one click of a button or do I have to go into each account and REFRESH each separately?

Haven't tried K9, but the stock Mail app does works with POP3, IMAP, and Exchange.

So not sure what troubles you've run into, but all you need to do is click to add a new account, select either 'Exchange ActiveSync' or 'Other (POP3/IMAP)' to add your accounts. I use it for me.com, yahoo.com, aol.com and gmail.com.

When you use the Mail app, there is a drop-down menu at the top to select your other accounts and it lists them all with the number of unread messages.

I figured it out finally. But..regarding what u said above.... is there a way to see the list of the accounts as the next/main screen when you click the MAIL icon instead of automatically going into the mail account that you used last?

set up through stock mail app...when you press on the icon it wil take you to the default inbox that you set up in mail settings. hit the arrow at the top left and it will list all of your accounts and email count (i think)

(I believe that if you uncheck default at mail.menu.more.settings it may bring up the list of all of the accnts) >>>haven't tried it but noticed it in the menu settings

Also - is there a way to refresh/reload ALL of my mails with one click of a button? I think each acct can be set for auto-updates individually. But what if I do not want auto download but only to update manually when I choose? Can I do this with one click somewhere?

turn off in accounts and sync in the settings menu, manually sync mail from there or while in mail hit menu, refresh

This does not work. One of the accounts MUST be the main account. and when you click the MAIL icon, it automatically seems to open the main acct. Then you have to use the drop down menu to see the other accounts.

I am not clear where you are talking about exactly.

AHHHH...cool...it was worth a shot

I am not clear where you are talking about exactly.

I am so accustomed to using gmail that I listed the gmail settings..scratch those

open mail menu.more.settings.send and receive.set download frequency

there is no way to turn it off per say....but you can adjust the settings to achieve it. (cut it back to one day and play with the peak and off peak settings)

once you do that ..to manually sync..open mail, menu.settings.refresh

I am trying my best ..I only use the mail app when gmail is acting up. ALL of my accounts are fetched by gmail and go into one inbox in the gmail app. I'm unorganized..and it's a heck of alot simpler. I could care less which account they came from..as long as I get them

I want to be able to do this in bulk, so to speak - for ALL of my accounts in one click.

This might work for me...so I guess I have to figure out how to get all my POP3, yahoo and hotmail into my gmail account.

open gmail on desktop

click settings at top right

click accounts and import

everything is in there. you can even set it to auto "reply as" the email addy they "sent to" which is really cool.

the only issue I have from the phone is you cannot manually select that you are sending a new mail from one of your other email addy's
you can do this from the desktop/web version....but not from within the app
