Root Droid X. Rubix Stuck at Boot Screen

I rooted my phone and have been using the 3G hotspot and some overclocking apps. Today I decided to load a custom rom. I did some research and bought Rom Manager and Bootstrap.

I did the bootstrap and than rebooted to recovery. Than I installed rubix from the sd Card.

I found someone else with the problem here and people told them to pull the battery and get into recovery. When I do that I get a droid with an exclamation mark screen. I cant seem to get into recovery or do anything and I am stuck at the rubix boot screen.

It seems my problem is because I did not wipe my date or clear cache when installing... but I can't get into recovery to re-do it!!

Thanks for any help, I tried to look for answers before I posted a new topic.

When you get the exclamation mark and the Droid guy press the hard search button (this is stock recovery and you can get there by holding the power button and the home button when the phone first boots up and you see the m logo)but like I said when you see this press the search button and select data wipe/factory reset and see if that works ....you scroll up and down using the volume rockers and you select using the camera button and the power button acts like your back button while in stock or clockwork recovery....if wiping data does not work then you will have to flash the sbf .....links and instructions here
Droid X 2.2 Full SBF leaked - Download now
I hope this helps you and from now on always remember to follow all instructions!

I have a Droid X I bought about 4 months ago. The phone started to randomly turn off even with over a 50% charge. I pulled the battery a few times and the phone would work fine for a couple of days. Last night the phone turned off, I pulled the battery and now the phone seems to be stuck. I get a picture of the M for motorolla, than the word Droid, than the red eyeball, than back to the word droid, than eyeball over and over. I pulled the batter again and same thing. I have only downloaded apps on the phone.
Please help!

Thank you

you have 2 options. a hard factory reset to clear everything back to stock. or flash the SBF.

to do a factory reset:

1. Turn the phone off.

2. Hold the Power and Home buttons down for about 5 seconds.

3. A screen with an exclamation will appear. Tap the Search key.

4. Scroll down to factory reset using the Volume Down button.

5. Confirm the selection.

6. Select Yes

Try pulling the battery and keeping it out for about 30 seconds. Then see what it does when it reboots.

I had this same problem with Rubix, and honestly, just clear cache / data and it'll boot right up.

EDIT: when your phone is off, hold down the home screen button and then turn it on. Once you seen the Moto symbol, let go and it'll have the android guy with the exclamation mark. Now press the search button.
