Help AT&T Updates on Captivate

I have another 100 updates available on my Captivate, however, when performing the update, the phone stalls on the "preparing" page. Would this have something to do with using the "Unleash The Beast" way of rooting?

Just restored to factory settings using Odin3 One-Click and the update still fails.

It's possible. The nonstandard things that does to the phone are pretty drastic and intrusive. I've seen lots of complaints and not a lot of people use it anymore.

That method doesn't return you to a pure stock original config, so it's not surprising that there are still problems. Hacking is a one-way street. Odin "1-click" is a method to make your phone usable again if you brick it... not a surefire way to return to a pure/untainted original phone.
