Anybody know where I can get the vzw 3g hotspot? Will be going away in January and my daughter and I are going to need more than the ad-hoc. TIA.

Thanks. You rock. I think when I go off to Disney World with my daughter and we both need to tether, I think I'll just go back to Black Glass X Deodexeer. It'll be easier. I know wireless hotspot is in that and it already deodexed, so I'll be set.

Wireless tether is ad hoc and as I understand it, only one computer can connect at a time. At Disney they charge for internet, and there may be times when she wants to connect from her lappy at the same time as when I want to connect with mine.

EDIT: Maybe I'll just hit fab up for a custom solution.

Good point. I honestly don't use tethering much as I don't have a need for it, but yeah VZW is what 5 hotspots?

Maybe you should hit him up. That would be cool!

ok, some cleanup should fix this:

su
rm /system/app/mynet.apk
chmod 755 /system/app/Mynet.apk
reboot

and it should work.

Well, I did a system recovery thus elimitating both files. I installed Mynet.apk

su
install Mynet.apk

I see it there in system/apps fine

reboot.

nothing
sigh.


When I go to disney I can install a blur rom as this seems to be somewhat complicated. it's there. It's installed right. I can't even find the app in my app drawer.


EDIT: trying the TBH app now.... nope.


Double edit: After reading around, I'm beginning to believe that it is not possible to restore it in ApeX for some reason. i give up. I thought I'd try.

Mynet.apk needs blur.

Rubix blurry is a good choice.
